Before you say anything, I know it’s been a while since my last post, but to my defense I am trying to finish up this little thing called college. I didn’t want to half ass a post either and just take some pictures with my phone and call it a day. We all deserve better than that.
For my first post in a while, I had to go all out. One of my friends, Caitlin, has a fuego Instagram (@caitrus) and an amazing eye. I’ve been trying to get her to shoot with me for the longest time. She and I go way back, she used to model for Off the Cuff with a huge shoot entitled “Urban Fantasy” back in the day.
Inspiration for this shoot is my current state of affairs. I’m about to graduate from Boston University, so I’ve been itching to explore Boston more. We went all over, from Government Center to the North End to South Station or the Theater District to the Commons. It was about 10° Fahrenheit the entire day and started to snow halfway through shooting, but it was all worth it – regardless of impeding frostbite.
As for the outfit, it speaks my thoughts about winter: black. I loathe winter, even though snow is pretty. For a millisecond. I’m also wearing almost all Vince., an homage to my new job. To keep somewhat warm, I’m wearing my dad’s vintage trench (made in Firenze) and a scarf from Topman.
Lastly, as I was writing this post I learned about the passing of one of my favorite reality stars, Big Ang from VH1’s Mob Wives. One of her most famous mantras relates exactly to how I’m feeling about university wrapping up in a couple months. “I’m not here for a long time, I’m here for a good time!” And I’ve definitely been having a good time in Boston.
